August 2001, Communication University
of China hosted the 1st International
Forum of Women Presidents on Higher
Education, with the theme “Development
Strategy on Higher Education in
New Century”. There are nearly
100 women presidents from 8 countries
and regions attending this Forum.
In
September 2004, Media and Gender
Institute took part in the planning
and organization for the 2nd International
Forum, with the theme “Communication,
Cooperation and Development”.
There are more than 150 women
presidents from 21 countries and
regions participating this Forum.
The
3rd International Forum of Women
Presidents on Higher Education
will be held in August 2006. It
is estimated that 200 women presidents
will attend this Forum. “Media
and Gender” will be discussed
as one of the titles. Media and
Gender Institute will take charge
of the planning and organizing
work in the 3rd Forum.
